Serial Module
Expands Zipabox to support DSC and Paradox security alarm systems
Zipabox Serial expansion module enables Zipabox to easily interconnect with an existing security alarm system, such as DSC or PARADOX. Number of external systems supported by Zipato is increasing all the time, and Zipato is providing SDK to all the parties interested in supporting various protocols. It also includes USB port for connecting 3G USB stick for backup internet connection so your Zipabox never loses connection with the cloud.

- How Many Do I Need?
You can connect only one serial module to Zipabox.
- What Else Should I Know?
Serial module must always be installed in expansion slot 1 of Zipabox. If you have Zipabox Power Module please connect Serial module on Zipabox Power Module. If you do not have Zipabox Power Module, and you have for e.g. Backup Module, Backup Module must be the first module installed next to Zipabox and then Serial Module. Other modules can be attached to Serial Module.
- What is the maximum number of modules than can be installed on one slot of your Zipabox at the same time?
Two modules can be installed on every slot of your Zipabox at the same time.
